Volunteer Services and Resources at OSU

The volunteer needs of the schools across Ohio are increasing. Throughout the state, public schools are in need of volunteers, tutors and mentors to support their after-school programs and increase academic achievement for their students. OSU students are increasingly interested in volunteering and schools are at the top of their lists. Regardless of your role whether you are a p12 educator, OSU faculty member or a student, you can get involved and have a contribution in the P-12 Project's efforts to assist in the improvement of Ohio's schools.

The P-12 project has partnerships with neighborhood schools in the university district and works in collaboration with the following initiatives to addres the needs of schools and students:

Community Connection
A web-based volunteer matching service to assist with the recruitment, training, placement, and support of students as volunteers in the local neighborhood communities.

P-12 staff occasionally delivers presentations and conducts site-visits to schools to increase awareness about Community Connection and to assist the volunteer needs of schools. If you would like to learn more about how Community Connection could be a resource for your school or organization, you may contact P-12 Project at p12@osu.edu or call (614) 688-3621.
